The Advantages of Neuromuscular Integrative Action (NIA)

Are you thinking of a great way to develop your fitness without indulging in vigorous workouts and programs all day long? The Neuromuscular Integrative Action or NIA is for you! It is a substitute to high-impact aerobics which could sometimes be very stressful and exhausting.
It focuses on the main core of the body system providing balance and soundness of all body parts. With a well-balanced core you will be able to function better and carry on longer time of work without the threat of back pains and injuries.

NIA was developed by Carlos Rosas and Debbie Rosas way back in early 1980s. They are aware of how stressful it is to be in a program of fitness and so they designed the NIA with ease and fun yet very effective in losing weight, toning muscles, enhancing endurance, maintaining a good posture and even controlling temper. The program is also designed with mix martial arts such as Tae Kwan Do, Aikido and Tai Chi. Pop and modern dance are also being incorporated to eliminate the boredom and repetition of steps provided by usual body fitness programs. With all the body parts involved in the session, NIA is considered as a holistic method of making body parts function efficiently.

The good thing about NIA is that it is available for all ages. There are programs designed solely for stretching and the other for keeping one’s balance. It is the wider scope of fitness ideas that makes the program more exciting. The accompanying music also changes eventually as you move on to the next level. NIA usually runs for about 7 weeks with each session costing more or less $15. There are some studios which offer up to $60 depending on the program you enrolled in. You can choose from the various programs offered according to your choice.

If you have a sound state of body your mind will also become alert in responding to stimulus. This is the benefit that you will get from NIA programs.
